Extension Help Needed

Our presence is needed on December 4 during the extension presentation by Alpha Xi Delta at Allegheny College. I am including the original message in my post. I will be going. If you can be present for this, please let Gretchen and I know. JRG

Dear Sisters,
The National Fraternity is very excited to say that we have been offered the opportunity to do an extension presentation at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. This means we could potentially re-colonize our long-dormant Alpha Rho Chapter! The campus is moving very quickly with this process, and our presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 4 - only 3 weeks away! We have found time and time again that a strong, positive alumnae presence is critical when trying to show a campus what a wonderful addition Alpha Xi Delta would be to their community. Under normal circumstances, we would do a mass mailing to get the word out and solicit alumnae assistance. In this case, however, the timeline does not allow us to do that. I'm hoping you can help. Do you have any sisters in your associations who would be willing and able to attend our presentation on December 4 as a show of support for the Fraternity's efforts to get back to Allegheny? They would need to arrive by 4:00 pm and would likely be finished by 6:00. I realize this poses a problem for those who cannot take the day off of work, but I'm hoping that we may have some retirees, stay-at-homers or others with flexibility at work who might be able to make the trip. Even if you can find two sisters in your association who would be willing to head to Meadville together, that would be a great start for us. The more the merrier!

Here's what you can do to help: Please get the word out to your association (and any other alumnae in the vicinity of Meadville, PA that you can think of) about this exciting opportunity for Alpha Xi Delta as soon as possible. Have sisters who are able to attend contact me either via e-mail or phone by Wednesday, November 28 to confirm their participation. I'll have more details at that point regarding the logistics that I can share with those who are able to attend. Thank you in advance for your help! We realize that this is not ideal, but we're hoping we can work some Alpha Xi Delta magic and really put together a strong showing!
